If a product is past its expiration date, it is not harmful. However, some of the nutrients may not be quite up to their labeled potency.

Children vary dramatically in size and shape. One 7-year-old can be very different from another. We want to adjust their dosage by how much their metabolism can handle. The surest way to do so is by weight. Simply make a fraction and put the child’s weight over 150 pounds (average weight of an adult).

Eg. 30 lbs/ 150lbs = ⅕ of normal dosage

It is recommended to consult with your healthcare provider before taking any herbal product whiles pregnant. You can cleanse and detox during pregnancy, but you may want to use your common sense in this aspect. Some herbal products may contain agents that are contraindicated whiles pregnant. Basically, common sense will tell you, that you do not want to cause major cathartic bowel movement (8) eight months into pregnancy, you may induce labor. However, after giving birth, you are free to take our colon cleanse and other formulas.

Always keep in mind that during pregnancy and lactation whatever you take, your baby will be getting in smaller amounts through the mother’s milk. This may be a plus if your baby has any infection, when you take any anti-viral or bacterial herbs your baby will be helped through the process.
